Equipment & Materials for the classrooms
Our second project was to provide equipment for the various departments in the school which they really needed but did not have the funds to buy.
Funds raised by Friends of Tembaletu provided the school with:
Portable science laboratory and laminated science posters
Technology equipment
Mind Musik assessment kit for assessing learners at the school
SMILE educational toys (examples include abacuses, perceptual form boards, games & puzzles, interlocking blocks, and beads) for the Foundation phase children to use during literacy, numeracy and life orientation lessons. We also provided lockable steel cabinets for these learning aids to be kept when not being used in the classroom.

The children at Tembaletu love sport but the school does not have the funds to purchase equipment. We helped the school with buying a table tennis table, bats and table tennis balls. Also a volleyball set for sitting volleyball along with volleyballs. In addition we bought the school 2 basketball wheelchairs
One of the Tembaletu students Sithembele was chosen to represent South Africa at an international CP soccer tournament. We sponsored the kit he needed to wear for the South African team.
The children also had a wonderful opportunity to watch a magic show. A young graduate from the College of Magic, Mluleki Tozama, really played to his audience and many came to him afterwards to ask about how he learned all these wonderful tricks!
